These Boots Were Made for Walking Pups

Winter is here and I have visions of warm boots dancing in my head. These boots from North Face would keep feet and legs happy on walks with the pups. They will grip onto ice, are partially made from recycled P.E.T. and filled with fluffy down. They are also on sale at REI.........

I need to figure out how to make this pendant lamp, made of coat hangers, designed by Thwart Designs and posted by Matt Embrey on greenUPGRADER.

These Boots

Biviel from re-souL

These gorgeous purple boots have lovely details and a modern take on an antique style that I love. Far out of my price range, but that doesn't mean a girl can't look.

(In case Santa Clause is reading this, I wear size 6.)

Project: Pot Rack

It's done, it's been hung and photographed. It's the bike rim pot rack from previous posts one and two. The two things that took the longest were tracking down the bike rim and getting the chain cut. I had planned on painting the rim red, but instead made a large tube out of lipstick red polka dot fabric and fitted it in place.

First I measured my rim, marked the ceiling and drilled hole for the hooks.
I used three hooks, because my home is made out of pudding and marshmallow peeps. You could use one big hook in the middle or try bolting the rim directly to the ceiling. I have very high ceilings, so bolting the rim would have put it out of reach.

Next I hung one end of the chain from the hooks and looped S-hooks through the other end. I used two, because the chain I had laying around the house was too small for the S-hook that would be large enough to hook onto the rim. I winged it on this one and tired to use items I had around the house. When I help my friends hang one in their kitchen I'll know what not to do and that's half the battle with any project.

Now that my rack was ready to go I placed S-hooks all around the rim to hang my pots.

And I attached a couple smaller S-hooks from the spokes to hang light weight items, like a strainer.

And voila- an interesting, functional pot rack for less than $20!

Good Morning, Sunshine!!!

To Do:

1. Take pictures of the new pot rack
2. Take pictures of the hat you made
3. Take pictures of your recently transformed studio
4. Take time to take pictures

This weekend was so busy with puppies and family
and yard projects and more puppies.
Somehow it's easier to complete the project than
to take the picture and upload it onto my computer.
Why is that?

Hope you had a happy Thanksgiving!
